      Job Description:
      • The Phlebotomist I represents the face of the organization to patients and is responsible for collecting quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures.
      • This role involves direct patient interaction and requires creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
      • The Phlebotomist I demonstrates leadership behaviors while maintaining a strong focus on confidentiality, accuracy, and process excellence.
      Requirement/Must Have:
      • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
      • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
      • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
      • Flexibility to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
      Experience:
      • Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience.
      • One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
      • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
      • Keyboarding and data entry experience required.
      Responsibilities:
      • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
      • Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established practices and procedures.
      • Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment.
      • Maintain required records and documentation accurately.
      • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
      Skills:
      • Phlebotomy and specimen collection.
      • Patient communication and interaction.
      • Attention to detail and accuracy.
      • Time management and organizational skills.
      • Data entry and basic computer skills.
      Qualification And Education:
      • High school diploma or equivalent required.
      • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
      • Phlebotomy certification preferred and required in certain states.
