      We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter with extensive experience in pipe fitting, particularly in refrigeration piping for AC units. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and skills to perform complex piping tasks efficiently and safely.

      Responsibilities
      • Read and interpret drawings to plan piping layouts.
      • Perform brazing and soldering tasks with precision.
      • Cut and assemble tubing and pipes according to specifications.
      • Connect, install, remove, test, repair, disassemble, and disconnect HVAC piping systems.
      • Conduct troubleshooting and repair of HVAC piping systems.
      Essential Skills
      • Minimum of 8 years of pipe fitting experience.
      • Proven experience with refrigeration piping for AC units.
      • Active F60 Fire Watch Certificate and G60 Burning Certificate.
      • OSHA 10 certification.
      • Proficiency in brazing and soldering.
      • Experience working with copper pipe up to 2 inches and black pipe (schedule 10, 40, 80) up to 14 inches.
      Additional Skills & Qualifications
      • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
      • Welding certification.
      • Previous experience with rigging, testing, and system start-up.
      • Ability to interpret blueprints.
      • Knowledge of piping systems and troubleshooting techniques.

      Work Environment

      You will be working for a multi-million dollar corporation that specializes in the design, engineering, service, and installation of HVAC equipment. Our projects span hotels, theaters, large retailers, apartment buildings, and offices throughout the New York area. Standard working hours are from 7 am (Safety orientation) to 5 pm (Monday through Friday), with occasional evening and weekend hours required.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodside, NY.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
