      Responsibilities

      Be the Heart of the Building

      We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working Porter to help keep our community clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who walks through the door. You’ll support the building from the ground up—inside and out—by keeping common areas clean, assisting with move-ins, and helping maintain our high standards.       What You’ll Do:

      Grounds & Common Areas

      • Sweep sidewalks, terraces, lobbies, and hallways

      • Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the building

      • Respond quickly to spills, weather-related messes, or other safety hazards

      Cleaning & Detailing

      • Clean and polish floors, glass, mirrors, brass, and woodwork

      • Deep clean as needed (carpet cleaning, grout scrubbing, waxing floors)

      • Maintain the laundry room, fitness center, and management offices

      • Report any damage or safety issues to the Resident Manager

      Building Maintenance Support

      • Clean stairwells, service areas, and the compactor room

      • Change light bulbs and help prepare units for new residents

      • Use building systems to log tasks and report ongoing issues

      Resident & Concierge Support

      • Cover the front desk during concierge breaks

      • Monitor service doors during move-ins and deliveries

      • Assist with unit inspections and ensure spaces look great for tours

      Special Projects & Events

      • Help set up and clean shared spaces like lounges, rooftops, and gyms

      • Support building events and gatherings by helping with logistics and cleanup

      • Keep shared spaces looking welcoming and refreshed

      Sustainability & Safety

      • Keep elevators, trash rooms, and amenity areas clean and odor-free

      • Support recycling and compost programs

      • Perform scent and cleanliness checks to ensure the building feels fresh

      • Participate in team meetings and be open to cross-training

      Resident & Guest Services

      • Greet residents and guests with professionalism and warmth

      • Announce visitors and manage deliveries with care

      • Keep the lobby calm, clean, and inviting

      • Support leasing tours and resident events with a polished front desk presence

      • Conduct lobby checks for lighting, music, scent, and overall atmosphere

      Security & Access Control

      • Monitor building camera systems and logs

      • Track vendor and contractor activity and follow access procedures

      • Respond to safety or privacy concerns calmly and appropriately

      Package & Amenity Management

      • Log and organize packages and deliveries using digital tools

      • Track service requests and amenity bookings

      • Support the package room and inventory systems

      • Manage visitor logs and help maintain accurate resident preferences

      Move-In & Move-Out Support

      Compensation:

      Hourly: $29.77

      Beneftis:

      Union 32BJ

      Schedule:

      Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 2:30pm - 11pm (Porter)

      Tuesday, Wednesday: 11pm-7:30am (Concierge)

      Thursday, Friday: OFF


      Qualifications

      • 1-2 years prior janitor, cleaner, or porter experience
      • Experience 1-3 years in hospitality, customer service, or luxury properties is a plus

      • A passion for excellent service and a composed, professional attitude

      • Must be reliable and have experience working with cleaning chemicals
      • Must be a team player and be able to work with little supervision
      • Excellent time management skills and work ethic needed
      • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be able to stand for an 8 hour shift
      • Light maintenance knowledge is a plus
