- Overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the practice
- Leadership, line management, and development of the administrative and non-clinical team
- Supporting GP Principal with strategic planning and service development
- Ensuring compliance with CQC standards, NHS contractual requirements, and information governance

- Ability to work independently and proactively within a small practice environment
- Knowledge of EMIS Web and other NHS systems
- Desirable:
- Practice Management qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience preparing for and supporting CQC inspections
- Experience working within a Primary Care Network
- Previous experience in GP practice management or a senior healthcare operational role
- Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills

Job summary
We are a friendly, well-established GP practice in South Norwood seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to join our team.
Main duties of the job
This is a key leadership role with responsibility for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring services run smoothly, safely, and in line with NHS and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the GPs and the clinical team will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of care, supporting staff, and driving service improvement.

You will be joining a close-knit, supportive practice serving a patient population of under 6,000, where teamwork, mutual respect and patient-centred care are at the heart of everything we do.
Our multidisciplinary team is made up of 4 GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, a Healthcare Assistant, and a wider clinical support network including a Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Social Prescribing Link Worker and First Contact Physiotherapy Practitioner, all backed by a dedicated and experienced administrative team.
