Introduction
We are seeking a Production Support Officer to join for the Material Transportation Business Line Division (MTB) of Metso.
Team you belong to
The suitable candidate will be a pivotal part of the Production Support Team in ensuring targets are met. This role is suited to a highly motivated and dynamic team member, suitably experienced in production order processing, purchasing, inventory knowledge and general administration.
This is a contract position reporting to the Production Support Team Leader.This position is located in Forrestfield.
What you’ll doSome of the key components of this role include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for ensuring prompt processing of production orders to minimize customer and supply location impact.
• Purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Extension of material master parts to relevant facility location in the ERP system.
• Creation of BOM (Bill of Materials) and routes in the ERP system.
• Proactively monitoring outstanding supply items – generating reports and conducting continuous reviews.
• Responsible for answering expediting requisitions to internal stakeholders to ensure end customer requirements.
• Develop SAP key user knowledge of transactional processing in line with MTB and Metso processes and procedures.
• Deal with internal customers and vendors to ensure on time delivery.
• Ongoing support to the production team.
• General administration including front of house duties.
Who you are
• Experience with SAP (highly desirable).
• Highly developed computer skills – Microsoft Office and an ERP system.
• Administration, inventory and purchasing experience, preferably within the mining sector.
• Ability to read engineering drawings (highly desirable).
• Strong negotiation and communication skills both verbal and written.
• Understanding of Parts, BOM’s (Bill of Materials) and Routes.
• A high level of attention to detail with strong multi-tasking abilities.
• The ability to prioritise and time manage your work.
• Experience in a variety of administration tasks.
• Experience in supply to the mining industry or similar.
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
