Job Description
- Req#: 4260
- Assisting with basic administrative & office related task such as filing, phone calls, mail handling, moving or procuring office supplies, and organizing rooms
- Interacting with the community in which we serve (Child Welfare/FC)
- Research, report writing, training, video project, and newsletter assembly, and/or other creative projects as assigned
- Some field work is possible, and traveling to different office locations may be necessary
- Participation throughout the program requires you to be available for virtual and in-person meetings, consistent and appropriate contact with your mentor and internship coordinator
- Meeting assignment & deadlines on a weekly basis
- Must be fluent in English and can write English
- Demonstrate strong commitment to safety
- Must have access to basic communication equipment (phone, laptop or tablet), the internet
- Be willing to learn and exercise basic technical skills (Outlook & TEAMS)
- Some presentation skills are necessary
Overview
The New York Foundling's Mentored Internship Program (MIP) is hiring a temporary Project Assistant. This person is responsible for providing support to staff in the course of their normal operations and duties in departments that include but are not limited to (Development, Training, Adoption & Legal, Home Finding, Executive offices, and Mental Health).
