      Summary:

      The Child Mind Institute offers graduate students in doctoral psychology programs 12-month externships in the following six tracks:

      • Anxiety Disorders Center externship
      • ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center externship
      • Autism Center externship
      • Clinical Assessment and Research externship
      • Learning and Development Center (Neuropsychology) externship
      • Mood Disorders Center externship

      Externs will receive at least one hour of 1:1 supervision per week, as well as an additional hour of supervision in group formats. In accordance with NYNJADOT-PSYDNYS Externship Guidelines, externs will also receive direct observation at least once per academic semester.

      Each externship will begin on July 1, 2024, with a mandatory orientation that will take place July 1, 2, & 3, 2024. The externship will end on June 30, 2025.

      Each extern reports to their respective center Senior Director, or Training Coordinator.
