Key Responsibilities
Storytelling for Social Impact: Draft "human-interest" stories, blog posts, and LinkedIn articles that showcase the real-world impact of the Takealot Township Economy Initiative and the SME enablement ecosystem.
Policy Simplification: Translate complex regulatory updates or white papers into digestible Executive Summaries or infographics for internal and external stakeholders.
Case Studies: Interview SME across the ecosystem to develop a library of success stories that support the Group's economic inclusion narrative.
Newsletter Management: Curate and draft a regular Public Affairs internal update to keep the wider Group informed on social impact milestones.
Advocacy Material: Assist in preparing briefing notes, presentations, and "Leave-Behind" documents for meetings with government stakeholders.
Event Coordination: Provide logistical support for public affairs events, such as site visits to Distribution Centres for government officials or community workshops.
Meeting Management: Schedule stakeholder engagements, prepare agendas, and ensure accurate minutes are taken and distributed.
Budget Tracking: Assist in managing the administrative side of CSI (Corporate Social Investment) spend, including processing invoices and tracking project-related expenses.
Reporting: Collate data and evidence for the Annual Sustainability Report and other ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) disclosures.
Brand Alignment: Work closely with the Marketing and PR teams to ensure Public Affairs messaging is consistent with the broader Takealot Group brand voice.
Internal Communications: Coordinate with HR to highlight youth employment initiatives and the Bursary Programme to employees.
This is a 12 month contract
