Job Description
- Req#: 25-46041
- Responsible for the identification and documentation of quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.
- Facilitates the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products.
- Leads the preparation and execution of internal audits within established manufacturing and production controls to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and standards. Liaises with auditing groups and inspectors to develop formal written reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Identifies trends in discrepancies and collaborates with process owners on the refinement and optimization of business processes.
- Oversees testing department activities and work of inspectors.
- Reviews, approves, and controls work order flow tags.
- Develops inspection techniques, tools, and supplemental inspection instructions in support of standards, methods and procedures.
- Participates in supplier corrective and preventative actions, including: customer escapes, process nonconformities, supplier corrective actions, customer and change control, and material review board meetings.
- Intermediate professional with practical knowledge of job area.
- Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area.
- Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Identifies and addresses changes within own job area.
- Works to achieve operational targets with some impact on departmental result
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Must have 4 years CMM software Zeiss CALYPSO or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Keyence machines.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- MS Office Outlook, Excel and Word.
- High attention to detail.
- Able to sit for long periods of time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpretation of drawings.
