What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the implementation of a patient-centric model involving physicians, their staff, clinics, and hospitals
- Develop and maintain strategic long-term relationships with Centers of Excellence, academic institutions, and health systems
- Serve as the authority on the resources Neurocrine offers to support healthcare providers for Rare Disease patients
- Master targeted disease states and leverage clinical knowledge to execute local disease education and promotional programs
- Navigate complex hospital settings to access key stakeholders and ensure optimal patient treatment decisions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS/BA degree AND 8+ years of sales experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, including 5+ years calling on prescribers of specialized products
- Proven sales performance and launch experience in competitive environments
- Experience with business systems and salesforce automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce.com, Oracle database)
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required for frequent travel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree preferred AND 6+ years of relevant experience, or PhD with 4+ years of experience
- Experience in rare diseases and prior experience calling on Key Accounts and academic institutions
- Endocrine experience strongly preferred
- Previous start-up or market development experience desirable
- Passion for Patient and Caregiver Programs
