      Job summary

      We are recruiting for an enthusiastic part time receptionist to join our friendly GP surgery team. We are offering a part time role of 3 to 4 shifts per week, up to 24 hours. We seek a proactive, organised individual with previous receptionist experience. Previous experience of working in a GP practice or for the NHS is desirable as is experience of working with the public. The role does require flexibility to work core shifts and be available for cover shifts to cover for annual leave within the team. The closing date for applications is end of the day on Monday 23rd February. Interviews will be in early March.

      Main duties of the job

      Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments

      Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately

      Signpost patients to the correct service

      Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and healthcare partners

      Input data into patients healthcare records as necessary

      Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner

      Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested

      About us

      We are a two site GP practice in Watlington and Chalgrove, Oxfordshire. The role will be to work in our friendly reception team and to work closely with clinical team members and liaise with external health partners. We work to provide effective, efficient and safe healthcare services for our patients in an environment that is caring and accessible.
