      Job Summary

      Up to $20,000 Sign On Bonus available based on experience

      Job Type: Full Time

      Shift: Rotate

      Job Summary:

      • Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services/Operations Coordinator/Shift Manager/Designee, the
      • Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations.
      • Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
      • The RN is responsible for monitoring the patient’s physiological status in the immediate operative period.
      • Communicates with the surgeon and anesthesiologist about patient conditions and receives direction for patient management.
      • Intercedes to maintain optimum homeostasis.

      Qualifications

      Minimum Education: BSN preferred
      Minimum Experience/Skills: None
      License/Certificates/Credentials:

      • Current California RN license
      • Current BLS
      • ACLS within nine months (within one year for new graduates)
      • PALS within one year
      • TCAR required within 12 months of hire/transfer .
      • For current employees within the department, TCAR must be obtained by October 1, 2019.

      Physical Demands:

      • Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking
      • Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs of force.
      • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
      • Manual dexterity and mobility
      • Ability to move quickly

      Vision Requirements: Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to perform position accountabilities


      Working Conditions:

      • Regularly exposed to the risk of contagious and blood borne diseases
      • Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
      • Exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness) and emergency and crisis situations
      • Subject to irregular hours
      • Occasional exposure to radiation hazards, radioactive substances and biohazard material
