What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze scientific data and findings, preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Redact records in accordance with FOIA and applicable regulations
- Communicate with requesters and stakeholders to clarify requests and provide updates
- Ensure compliance with FOIA, Privacy Act, and other relevant statutes
- Maintain accurate data entry in FOIA tracking databases and monitor request backlogs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological and Health Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
- Minimum three (3) years of experience performing related duties
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Proficient in Adobe 10
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with clinical data sets
- Experience reading and analyzing scientific journal articles
- Background in bench science in a scientific research laboratory
- Motivated self-starter willing to engage in continuous learning
