Job Description

- Perform all tasks with safety being the number one priority.
- Good sense of direction and knowledge of PEI landmarks.
- Familiarity with Island topography.
- Valid driver’s license of Class 5 or higher and clean driver abstract .
- Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends.
- Physically fit to be able to climb to the back of the truck, use pallet jack, to lift bags with fertilizer.
- Ability to lift up to 55lbs (25kgs)
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Previous experience applying fertilizer, crop protectants, and other treatment products and/or working in an agricultural environment would be an asset.
- Able to work well independently and follow safety, quality control, and operating procedures at all times.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Able to communicate with customers in a professional manner.
- Able to speak, read, and write the English language proficiently.
- Deliver bagged fertilizer and crop inputs to local customers.
- Perform vehicle inspections; clean and perform mandatory maintenance to equipment including basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure completion of paperwork.
- Represent the company in a professional, positive and pleasant manner.
- Work safely to avoid harm to yourself, customer’s property, co-workers, equipment, or inventory.
- Other duties as assigned. Other duties may include bagging, palletizing, cleaning, pressure-washing, etc.
Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the successful candidate will be a results-driven, self-starter who is always looking for opportunities for improvement, and has the ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
It is a SEASONAL position starting at the beginning of April for a term of 8-10 weeks.
Work location: 19 Riverside Dr, Charlottetown, PE
Wages: $18 - $20
