      Summary of Position

      An updated take on the classic SoCal pool bar. A vintage cabana vibe is taken into the new era with a modern approach to fresh food and beverage. A “Sunglow: A SoCal Cabana Bar” Server is responsible for taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and providing excellent customer service. Duties include greeting customers, recommending menu items, ensuring order accuracy, and processing payments. Servers must maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to food safety standards, and collaborate with all food and beverage staff to ensure timely service.

      This position pays $17.75 per hour

      Work Hours

      • This is a seasonal position anticipated to run from March through October, subject to business needs.
      • Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
      • Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends, subject to business needs.

      • Must be able to speak, understand, and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
      • Must possess excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
      • Must have the ability to push, pull, bend, squat, and lift on a regular basis.
      • Use of safety requirements such as PPE as needed for duty assigned and with the use of required tools and equipment.
      • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow-up.
      • Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
      • Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
      • Knowledgeable and ensure compliance with all state food safety guidelines.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Greet the guests and take all food and beverage orders.
      • Ensure all orders are accurate with requests and substitutions.
      • Be knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients in relation to common dietary restrictions.
      • Pre and post-bus tables in assigned stations.
      • Maintain a clean dining area at all times.
      • Responsible for receiving all payments accurately and timely.
      • Performing necessary opening/closing and side work duties.
      • Prepare food items for guests including appetizers, sides, and desserts.
      • Assist other servers with their tables, as needed.
      • Ensure all equipment is in operational order and all supplies are up to par.
      • Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
      • Must have the ability to push, pull, bend, squat, and lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
      • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
      • Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
      • Follow safety and security procedures.
      • Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
      • Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.
      • Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
      • Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
