      This position is locally funded.

      Consideration for directly related experience supported by an official service record or experience affidavit. Annualized pay may be pro-rated based on actual start date.

      Position Summary

      Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. under close supervision, perform data entry including attendance, public education information management system (PEIMS) data, and grades.

      Minimum Requirements

      • High school diploma or GED equivalent recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency.
      • Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the candidate.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Three (3) years data entry experience.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

      • Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
      • Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance.
      • Ability to meet established deadlines.
      • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

      Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities

      • Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures.
      • Maintain student records and process requests for student information and transcripts. Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools.
      • Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
      • Contact parents/guardians to verify student absences as needed and report attendance problems to designated administrator. Compile, maintain, file, and distribute all reports, records, and other documents as required following established procedures.
      • Assist in campus office as needed.
      • Maintain confidentiality.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Supervisory Responsibilities

      • None.

      Working Conditions

      Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.

      Posture: Frequent walking, Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.

      Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse. Occasional reaching.

      Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).

      Environment: Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise.

      Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions and prolonged or irregular hours.
