      Duties


      • Serves as a Verifying Official (VO) operating DEERS/RAPIDS workstations.
      • Adds, updates, retrieves, displays, transmits, and stores personally identifiable information on individuals in the DEERS database.
      • Generates the Common Access Card (CAC) for eligible military, civilian, contractor, Guard/Reserve, and foreign military personnel
      • Generates the Uniform Services Identification (USID) Card for eligible individuals including retired military, military dependents, foreign nationals, volunteers, and others.
      • Operates the installation’s electronic security system (ESS).
      • Greets customers and determines their eligibility to enter the installation.
      • Supports installation physical security and law enforcement programs by producing analytical reports pertaining to ID card issuance and lost or stolen identification credentials.

      • Must be a U.S. citizen
      • Tour of Duty: Subject to shift work
      • Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive
      • Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.
      • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Non-Exempt
      • Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
