      Job Description

      As a Security Officer Flex Shopping Center Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible, and help identify and report security-related concerns. You will support access control practices, assist with customer questions, and use a computer and/or tablet to document activity and communicate clearly with store teams.       What You'll Do:

      • Provide customer service to store associates and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
      • Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to management and/or public emergency services as needed.
      • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
      • Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, supporting loss prevention efforts through presence and timely reporting.
      • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support opening and/or closing routines as assigned.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
      • Customer service experience is preferred.
      • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
      • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
      • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
      • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
      • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
      • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
      • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
      • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
