      As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a government utilities location, you will support access control by checking credentials, managing entry points, and monitoring activity to help identify unusual situations. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide clear customer service and communication to employees and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will deliver with integrity through teamwork in a caring, agile culture.

      What You'll Do:

      • Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific post orders, and security-related access control protocols.
      • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access.
      • Operate access control systems, gates, and related equipment; maintain accurate logs of visitors, deliveries, and key events per site requirements.
      • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate contacts and request emergency response when appropriate.
      • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas as assigned; document observations and report maintenance hazards and/or unusual conditions.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
      • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
      • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
      • Be at least 21+ years of age.
      • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
      • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
      • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
      • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
      • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
