  Job Description

  As a Security Officer - Unarmed Property Patrol in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol guest and staff areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, assist with access control, and provide clear, courteous communication to visitors and team members.   What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and resort location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, lost and found issues, and/or guest assistance requests.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior and exterior areas including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, assist with crowd and/or event support as needed, and communicate professionally with property staff to address security-related concerns.
  • Document observations, patrol activity, and incident details in written reports and/or electronic systems, and promptly escalate issues through the chain of command.

  Minimum Requirements:

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
