  As a Security Officer - Retail Foot Patrol in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols of sales floors, entrances, and parking areas, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist customers and staff with directions and concerns, communicate clearly, and document observations and responses.   What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail environment.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floor areas, entrances and exits, receiving areas, parking lots, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, potential policy violations, and maintenance hazards; document observations and actions in daily activity logs and incident reports.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner; assist with de-escalation and coordinate with store management and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Control access to non-public areas as assigned, verify credentials for vendors and deliveries, and support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and providing timely reporting.

  Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 6+ months of security experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
