      Job Description

      As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and maintain clear logs and reports. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to drivers, associates, and guests.       What You'll Do:

      • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
      • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges, maintaining visitor and driver logs, and directing arrivals to designated check-in and staging areas.
      • Support shipping and receiving operations by monitoring inbound and outbound traffic flow, confirming appointment information and/or documentation as required by site policy, and communicating issues to site contacts.
      • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns, documenting events, and completing reports in accordance with post orders.
      • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify maintenance or security-related concerns, and report findings per site procedures.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • A guard card/license is preferred.
      • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
      • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
      • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
      • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
      • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
      • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
