Job summary
The Security Operations Lead will support the Trust Security Manager in delivering a safe and secure environment across all LYPFT sites. The post-holder will help lead, coordinate, and improve Trust-wide security operations, including incident management, access control, CCTV governance, contractor oversight, policy development, and site security assurance. They will act as a senior point of contact for operational security issues, deputising for the Security Manager where required and ensuring a consistent, professional approach to safety, compliance, and service delivery.
Main duties of the job
o Support the day-to-day management and delivery of security services across LYPFT sites.o Deputise for the Trust Security Manager, providing leadership, decision-making and operational oversight.o Lead on incident coordination, reporting, and post-incident learning, ensuring timely actions and escalation.o Assist in the management of electronic security systems including CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarms.o Liaise with police, contractors, estates teams, clinical services and external partners to support safety and service continuity.o Contribute to the development and implementation of Trust security policies, procedures, training and audits.o Provide guidance and support to staff on security, violence reduction and emergency response arrangements.o Support risk assessments, site inspections, compliance reviews and security improvement programmes.
