      IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Senior DevOps Administrator (Systems Analyst) in Westbrook, ME (telecommuting permitted) who creates and maintains systems in an on-premises, cloud and hybrid-cloud (combination of on-premises and cloud systems) environment and uses new technology to solve business problems. This position analyzes science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, and network concerns that relate to computer systems in an on-premises, cloud and hybrid-cloud (combination of on-premises and cloud systems) environment. The Senior DevOps Administrator (Systems Analyst) understands business requirements and ensures systems are tuned to maximize performance and identifies and implements system enhancements by performing systems management and integration functions, improving existing computer systems, and reviewing computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations. Duties include building, installing, configuring, optimizing, maintaining, troubleshooting and ensuring integrity of computer systems, including enterprise systems for middleware, operating system and servers, storage and backup, enterprise monitoring and desktop technology in an on-premises, cloud and hybrid-cloud environment. This position analyzes commercially available software and finds innovative ways through computer systems analysis to further the automation process in place in building and maintaining our systems. Responsibilities in analysis and support of systems in an on-premises, cloud and hybrid-cloud (combination of on-premises and cloud systems) environment include: day to day support of production and non-production systems; test, maintenance, and monitoring computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems; troubleshooting program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning; expanding or modifying systems to serve new purposes or improve work flow; and support responsibilities that intersect with multiple IDEXX development teams and business functions, including conferring with clients (internal and external) regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs to develop and implement solutions for the same.

      The minimum requirements are a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. All qualified candidates must have 5 years of experience that includes at least 2 years of experience in live (customer facing) computer systems analysis and support in an on-premises, cloud and hybrid-cloud (combination of on-premises and cloud systems) environment working with Oracle Middleware technologies, Linux platforms for system administration tasks, and, Change Control process and Call Tracking; and the following proficiencies/skills: Cloud experience in at least 1 of the 3 major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) (AWS, Google, and/or Azure), working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation techniques and tools, working with source control management tools, and familiarity with Continual Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and processes.
