      About the Team

      Vizio is looking for a Head of Data Science to manage mathematical modeling, experimentation, and analytics across the enterprise. We are looking for a dynamic leader to manage teams performing non-commoditized data work. The position can be held in one of several offices (Denver, Los Angeles).


      What You Will Do

      • Lead the Data Science organization with vision and empathy.
      • Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders.
      • Manage teams that develop and write algorithms for use in production.
      • Mentor senior team members.
      • Strategically investigate emerging technologies and their applications.
      • Evangelize Data Science across the organization.
      • Use data to inform product strategy.
      • Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

      About You

      • Trained researcher with a doctorate in a quantitative field.
      • 10+ years’ Data Science management experience.
      • 5+ years’ experience managing managers.
      • Fluent in Python and SQL.
      • High sense of ownership and results driven.
      • Technical knowledge of ad-tech and/or data licensing industries.
      • Solid understanding of predictive analytics, mathematical modeling, and statistics (theory, algorithms, and application).
      • Proficient with modern big data technologies and CI/CD frameworks.

      For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $176,000/year. The maximum salary for this position $352,000/ year. In addition to base salary, t he compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.

      For Colorado-based employment: The target salary range is $176,000 - $352,000 . In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
