The Position
You will join the Global Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team within AWS Data Center Infrastructure Operations Finance. The position will contribute to driving standardization and team efficiency worldwide. You will be responsible for coordinating and liaison with the central FP&A on behalf of the regional finance teams. You will be the finance expert responsible for budgeting, variance analysis, and driving key financial metrics. You will partner across finance and non-finance teams to drive forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and key financial decisions. You will also define and maintain internal finance controls for transactions and processes. This role will also support ad-hoc analysis and reporting related to data center operations. This is a highly visible role as your outputs are included in month end packages that go to senior leadership and decision makers.
The FP&A team is responsible for managing the financial rhythms of the business, including the annual operating plan, long range plan, regular forecast process, and for providing analytical support to senior management. You will help establish the pace of the finance team to ensure it delivers actionable insights in a timely manner.
The Responsibilities
- Partner with Data Center regional finance teams to meet finance objectives.
- Drive month end reporting and variance analysis of actual spend versus projection.
- Lead ad hoc analysis and month end financial commentary working cross functionally with regional finance, central finance, and financial systems (TM1) and accounting teams.
- Ensure compliance with finance and accounting controls and systems.
- Monitor and enhance existing processes and controls.
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 2+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
