- Req#: R285318
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to drive customer-focused product solutions and influence portfolio strategy
- Use advanced 3D CAD tools to design components and assemblies across sheet metal, plastics, die‑cast, and other manufacturing processes
- Apply robust design practices to conceptualize, prototype, and evaluate new mechanical solutions for feasibility and performance
- Work with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, tooling, and internal engineering teams to ensure efficient development cycles and seamless new‑product introduction
- 5+ years’ experience in electromechanical product development or equivalent technical expertise
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks) for designing sheet‑metal, plastic, and die‑cast parts
- Hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools
- Understanding of cooling technologies, including liquid cooling and rack-level thermal components
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, including data sheets, detailed drawings and 3D models
- Experience integrating liquid Cooling systems into servers or similar platforms, including mounting, routing and interconnect design
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer
Mechanical Engineering leads and delivers the development of innovative solutions, interfacing with cross-functional teams for server systems, peripherals and infrastructure. Our team conducts the analysis, feasibility studies and testing of mechanical products, instruments, subassemblies and packaging for new and existing products – and then oversees the introduction of design changes to the manufacturing organizations.

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $116,450 - $150,700.
