Join our committed team at Sapphire Lodge, where we provide expert assessment, collaborative care, and therapeutic treatment for young people facing mental health challenges, including low mood, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, autism spectrum conditions, and more.

You will provide clinical leadership and oversight to a compassionate inpatient team, contributing to the creation and implementation of personalised care plans. You will also deputise for the Clinical Nurse Manager and support the professional development of your colleagues.

      About You:

      • Significant experience in mental health or learning disabilities, with a strong grasp of therapeutic approaches, mental health conditions, and risk management strategies

If you're passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people with mental health needs, we'd love to hear from you!

      Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Clinical Nurse Manager, your responsibilities will include:

      • Oversee the development and implementation of individualised care, treatment, and safety plans in collaboration with the MDT.

      • Provide clinical advice, supervision, and support to staff, including organising rotas and mentoring student nurses.

      • Contribute to Lodge leadership by assessing admission suitability, supporting safe discharge, and use clinical and risk assessment skills to maintain a safe environment.

      • Support daily operations, including clinical supervision, the implementation of physical containment or de-escalation techniques, and the undertaking of delegated clinical care tasks.

      • Promote clinical excellence through participation in clinical governance activities, audits, and quality improvement projects.

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
