      Job summary

      Are you ready for a new challenge and are an aspiring band 6 Occupational therapist, or a current one wanting to move into the community setting within Carlisle and District ICC.

      Band 6 Occupational Therapists; or experienced band 5 Occupational Therapists ready for the challenge are also welcome to apply!

      Out team covers a large geographical area of Carlisle, Brampton and the surrounding areas, supporting hospital discharges and preventing hospital admissions. We are a busy, friendly and supportive team and welcome you to join us!

      Main duties of the job

      The role involves providing assessment and treatment to a varied caseload of patients in the community and community hospital setting. The team works with patients who have rehabilitation needs, as well as those who needs support at the end of their life. This may be in the patient's own home or in the community hospital. This role involves providing a rapid response in assessing patients and providing appropriate interventions to prevent admission and support hospital discharges. Carlisle & District ICC is a seven day service with core working hours 08:00 - 20:00. Full time staff are required to work 7.5 hour shifts 5 days a week, also covering some bank holidays and weekends on a rota rolling rota basis.
