      Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist - Part Time 25 hours per week - Fixed term ending 29 October 2026 (maternity leave cover):

      Do you want to be part of an innovative and collaborative Team? We are looking for applicants for a Senior Occupational Health post. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and drive some exciting developments within a complex and fast-paced environment. You will be supported by the Team to ensure we continue to maintain high quality, patient focused services in line with our national and locally agreed targets.

      The Assessment and Treatment Unit provides highly specialised assessment, formulation and intervention to meet individual needs. The service works within positive behavioural support frameworks, and provides trauma-informed care.

      Main duties of the job

      North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust aims to provide accessible, non-stigmatising local services that contribute to the assessment, intervention, treatment, rehabilitation and enablement of children with learning disabilities. To provide specialist assessment and interventions to identify and address occupational performance needs in self-care, productivity and leisure/play to support the development of life long independent living skills. The service is wholly committed to working with children and their families and carers using Person Centred Planning approaches and affording children with learning disabilities opportunities to maximize full citizenship, choice and control. The Occupational Therapist has a lead role in promoting, enhancing and maintaining the health and wellbeing of adults.
