      The Senior Production Operator (Third Shift) is a key leadership role responsible for supporting production operations across the process, seasoning, and packaging areas. This position ensures seamless shift transitions, operational continuity, and adherence to quality, safety, and GMP standards. The Senior Operator acts as a liaison between junior operators and supervision, driving efficiency, cleanliness, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

      Responsibilities:

      • Conduct a joint walkthrough of all production lines with the outgoing Senior Operator at the beginning of the shift.
      • Identify and communicate any relevant operational issues, equipment status, or pending tasks.
      • Verify cleanliness standards of the work area upon handover.
      • Participate in the pre-shift meeting led by the Production Supervisor.
      • Review the updated Production Schedule, scheduled changeovers, and cleaning activities.
      • Support the supervisor in convening Junior Operators for the daily plan review.
      • Schedule and coordinate changeovers and cleanings for the shift.
      • Ensure sufficient personnel are assigned to complete changeovers on time.
      • Provide and verify availability of all necessary cleaning materials and tools.
      • Perform daily GMP audits on the production floor for all assigned associates.
      • Document audit findings in Fresh ability and escalate non-conformances as needed.
      • Lead product scoring sessions and record evaluations in Fresh ability.
      • Prior to the product qualification meeting, complete product evaluation and share deviations with the supervisor and junior operators.
      • Collaborate on action plans to address quality deviations on the floor.
      • Receive the operator allocation plan from the Production Supervisor.
      • Validate personnel assignments per line and position.
      • Review labor needs against current floor conditions and confirm adjustments with the supervisor.
      • Prepare consumable materials (gloves, blades, masks, etc.) required for the next shift.
      • Hand over materials to the incoming Senior Operator at shift change.
      • Coordinate waste management activities across production lines.
      • Validate that waste has been correctly classified (cardboard, plastic, general trash, hazardous).
      • Ensure the waste storage area is properly cleaned and organized before shift end.
      • Follow up with Quality Assurance (QA) regarding pallets on hold.
      • Coordinate the rework plan for held pallets or support disposal as directed by QA.
      • Document rework activities and ensure traceability.

      Qualifications

      Education & Experience:

      • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
      • Minimum 2+ years of production experience in food manufacturing.
      • Previous experience in a lead or senior operator role preferred.

      Technical Skills:

      • Strong knowledge of process, seasoning, and packaging operations.
      • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
      • Experience with Fresh ability, Oracle Cloud, or other quality/documentation systems.
      • Ability to interpret production schedules, work orders, and quality specifications.

      Language Requirement:

      • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – Must be able to communicate effectively in both languages to support a diverse workforce and facilitate shift handovers.

      • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
      • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
      • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration across shifts and departments.

      Working Conditions:

      • Production environment with exposure to noise, heat, allergens, and moving machinery.
      • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
      • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
