      ECO102H1S: Principles of Macroeconomics (Section LEC 5101)

      Course Description:
      An introduction to economic analysis and its applications from a macroeconomic (economy-wide) perspective. Topics covered include international trade and finance, role of money and the banking system, monetary and fiscal policy. Note: graphical and quantitative analysis are used extensively.

      Estimated course enrolment : 110

      Estimated TA support : 176 hours (contingent upon enrolment and funding)

      Class Schedule Class Schedule: Monday 17:00-19:00; Wednesday 17:00-19:00; Thursday 17:00-19:00

      The delivery method for this course is currently in-person. Please note that, in keeping with current circumstances, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the Department.

      Minimum qualifications:

      • PhD in Economics
      • Prior experience teaching this course (or a similar course) at the university level
      • Ability and experience teaching large classes

      Preferred qualifications:

      • Demonstrated excellence in teaching over four or more years

      Description of duties :

      • Preparation and delivery of lectures in this course
      • Supervision of teaching assistant(s) assigned to course
      • Preparation, supervision and grading of tests and examinations in accordance with University regulations
      • Providing scheduled office hours for academic counseling of students
