      Description:

      Course number and title: Sessional Lecturer – LHA1848H - Innovative Curricula in Higher Education and Professional Programs

      Course description:

      This course explores how educators in higher education and professional programs approach curriculum development from an innovative perspective. Curriculum theories, philosophic perspectives in the literature, and current realities in the classroom will be explored. Curriculum challenges with respect to access, quality and funding in higher education will be identified and analyzed, and innovative strategies for addressing these challenges will be generated.

      Minimum qualifications:

      Candidates must hold a doctorate in Higher Education or a related field AND a master's degree in a professional field other than education such as engineering, library science, law; have a demonstrated record of scholarship in the field of Higher Education and the subject area of the course; have practical experience related to the topic of the course; and have successful graduate teaching experience in the subject area of the course and a successful track record of teaching online, preferably using Canvas/Quercus.

      Prepare, organize, and lead this graduate half course; be available to students seeking assistance between classes; and evaluate student work and provide students with feedback.

      $11,030.36 - Sessional Lecturer III - Long Term
