      Job Title: Skilled Laborer

      Pay: $20-23/hr

      Job Description

      A skilled laborer is needed to assist with a renovation project at the Lincoln Health-Miles Campus in Damariscotta, ME. The project involves renovating the third floor of the hospital to establish a new oncology wing. You will be responsible for site clean-up, interior framing, and repair work. This position will pay $22 - $25 an hour and can start immediately pending compliance results.

      Responsibilities

      • Assist the site superintendent with various tasks.
      • Patch holes in drywall.
      • Perform light carpentry work.
      • Conduct site clean-up when necessary.

      Essential Skills

      • Experience in general labor, construction, carpentry, and framing.
      • Proficiency with hand tools and power equipment.
      • Attention to detail.
      • Ability to work with limited supervision.
      • Knowledge of blueprint reading.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar construction role.
      • Ability to operate basic hand and power tools with minimal training.
      • Open to less experienced candidates with the right mindset and willingness to learn.

      Work Environment

      The role is based in a hospital setting, requiring collaboration with one other team member managing the project. The dress code includes steel-toed boots and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays depending on project timelines. The hospital remains operational during the project, so a respectful and presentable demeanor is essential.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
