  Skilled Laborer/Carpenter Helper – Commercial Construction Projects

  Location: Squamish, BC

  Schedule: Day and night shifts depending on project needs

We’re looking for an experienced Skilled Laborer/Carpenter Helper to support a range of Commercial TI and Commercial new build projects across the Lower Mainland.   About the Role

  You’ll take on a wide range of tasks—from rough carpentry support to site cleanup, machinery operation, and general labor duties. Work conditions will vary from muddy early‑stage sites to detailed finishing environments, giving you exposure to all phases of commercial construction.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of power tools, including skill saws, nail guns, compactors, jackhammers, and chipping saws
  • Perform general labor tasks such as shoveling, site cleanup, and moving furniture
  • Assist with rough carpentry and general carpentry duties
  • Operate machinery and help with hauling lumber
  • Support site preparation and maintenance tasks including hoarding, stripping, and dewatering
  • Contribute to a safe, efficient, and organized work environment

  Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Skilled Laborer on commercial, institutional, or high‑rise residential sites
  • Strong proficiency with power tools
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites as required
  • Site Ready or CSTS certification

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Telehandler ticket
  • First Aid certification
  • Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, team‑oriented attitude

  The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
