What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and ship AI-powered frontend features that enhance GitKraken's usability for developers
- Integrate LLM APIs and agentic frameworks into GitKraken's frontend, designing simple and trustworthy UI/UX flows
- Collaborate with backend and platform engineers to define developer-facing APIs for agentic workflows
- Participate in planning and technical design of new features, addressing questions and proposing user-aligned alternatives
- Write clear, maintainable TypeScript and React code, ensuring high quality through code reviews and testing
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript and React
- Experience with building and refining agentic workflows
- Proficiency in prompt engineering and familiarity with LLM APIs and AI-assisted development tools
- Ability to translate ambiguous product requirements into well-scoped technical plans
- Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with cross-platform desktop application development
- Prior work on developer tools, IDE extensions, or productivity-focused applications
- Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio showcasing personal projects that demonstrate initiative
