      SNELLING STAFFING IS WORKING WITH AN ENGINEERIN G SOFTWARE CLIENT IN METRO DETROIT ON SEVERAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ROLES AND A SALES DIRECTOR

      Business Development - PLM/CAD Software Remote - Full Time

      SALES DIRECTOR, $110k+, Remote Qualifications & Duties:
      • Minimum 5 years of software sales experience with a strong focus on solution-based selling.
      • Background in Siemens PLM software preferred; experience with comparable platforms (Ansys, SolidWorks, Autodesk, etc.) also considered.
      • Demonstrated success managing and scaling sales teams in a technical or engineering-focused environment. (Sales Manager role)
      • Strong financial acumen and experience with business planning, forecasting, and negotiation.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
      • Direct experience selling Siemens PLM solutions.
      • Technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, manufacturing, or information technology disciplines.

      Primary Responsibilities
      Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
      • Partner with senior management to shape and execute the company's overall business strategy.
      • Design, communicate, and implement strategic plans to support both short- and long-term growth objectives.
      • Identify new market opportunities and lead initiatives to expand the company's footprint in targeted industries.
      • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes.
      • Work closely with Siemens management and technical enablement teams to capitalize on their assistance on identifying and closing new and existing business opportunities.
      Sales Leadership & Client Development
      • Build, manage, and mentor the sales, marketing and technical teams to ensure high performance and continuous professional development.
      • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve organizational goals.
      • Oversee and refine sales pipelines, performance metrics, and forecasting accuracy.
      • Develop and sustain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
      • Actively pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the existing customer base. Focus should include services whenever possible.
      Operational & Organizational Management
      • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and operational efficiency.
      • Set clear policies, procedures, and best practices to support scalable business operations.
      • Manage departmental budgets, optimize expenses, and ensure profitable performance across business units.
      • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training efforts to build a high-performing workforce.
      • Ensure team productivity, professional development, and adherence to organizational standards.
      Sales Enablement & Technical Alignment
      • Direct the creation of sales presentations, proposals, and quotation packages to support business development activities.
      • Collaborate with technical teams to refine service offerings and introduce new solutions based on market demand.
      • Complete required Siemens certifications annually and stay current with product knowledge to support sales efforts.
      • Develop strategies to consistently exceed Siemens VAR quotas on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

      BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, $85-100k, Remote, Responsibilities & Qualifications:
      • Report to the Managing Director.
      • Build, grow, and leverage a client base within the software sales group.
      • Develop new markets for software sales, targeting customers in various sectors, including automotive and aerospace.
      • Expand sales of the Siemens suite of products through direct interaction with customer contacts.
      • Prepare and present responses to RFPs, RFIs, and unsolicited proposals.
      • Develop and implement strategic plans for the market segment.
      • Cultivate strong customer relationships to achieve company revenue goals.
      • Prepare for and attend monthly sales review meetings.
      • Deliver professional sales presentations.
      • Collaborate with the marketing team, applications engineers, and other departments to align sales strategies and ensure cohesive efforts.
      • Attend trade shows as appropriate and perform other duties as assigned.
      • All employees are required to work within the confines and responsibilities of the quality system.
      • Background in software sales either in the Siemens suite (preferred) or a similar product line such as Ansys, SolidWorks, Autodesk, etc
      • Superior sales ability, management skills, and leadership qualities
      • Strong financial, business planning, presentation, and negotiation skills
      • 2+ years of experience in software sales (solution selling)
      • Solid understanding of Product Life Cycle Management (PLM)
      • Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with minimal supervision
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
      Preferred Qualifications
      • Direct sales experience with the Siemens suite of products
