      Role: Specialist, Service Delivery Management - Horse/Animal Care

      Description: In this role, you will coach and assess apprentices in Horse and Animal Care, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong learner progress and successful achievement of apprenticeship standards.

      This role aligns with market titles such as Apprenticeship Coach, Equine Assessor, Animal Care Trainer, or Work-Based Learning Coach.

      The Role

      This role exists to ensure apprentices receive structured, engaging and compliant training that leads to successful programme completion and positive career progression.

      You will manage a caseload of learners, delivering underpinning knowledge, conducting progress reviews and assessing competence in workplace settings. Your focus will be on maintaining quality, safeguarding learner wellbeing and supporting achievement against apprenticeship standards.

      Your work directly contributes to workforce capability and employer confidence.

      What You’ll Be Excited to Work On

      • Coaching apprentices in real-world equine and animal care environments
      • Supporting learners to build confidence, technical competence and professional behaviours
      • Delivering engaging sessions that connect theory to workplace practice
      • Working closely with employers to ensure alignment between training and operational needs

      Your First 6 Months

      In your first six months, you will:

      • Take ownership of an apprentice caseload and establish strong employer relationships
      • Deliver structured reviews in line with ESFA and Pearson TQ quality standards
      • Ensure all compliance documentation is accurate and audit-ready
      • Identify and implement targeted support to keep learners on track

      2. Conduct structured progress reviews and coaching sessions
      3. Maintain compliance with safeguarding, quality and funding requirements

      You’ll Lead, Create or Influence:

      • Individual learning journeys and development plans
      • Training delivery that enhances workplace performance
      • Quality improvement and standardisation activities
      • Sharing best practice across Pearson TQ teams

      About You

      You bring sector experience in Horse or Animal Care, along with apprenticeship delivery or assessment expertise. Most importantly, you are passionate about developing others and preparing them for sustainable careers.

      You likely have:

      • A Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant sector
      • Experience delivering or assessing apprenticeship standards
      • Strong planning, coaching and learner support skills
      • Confidence working independently while collaborating across teams

      Desirable: Assessor qualifications (A1/D32/D33 or equivalent), safeguarding and EDI training, Functional Skills delivery experience.

      You are someone who:

      • Demonstrates a learner-first mindset
      • Builds strong partnerships with employers
      • Manages competing priorities with professionalism
      • Upholds safeguarding and inclusion as core responsibilities

      You must be willing to travel as required and obtain enhanced DBS clearance.
