o To independently model and coach identified interventions including intensive interaction and groups for children with speech, language and communication needs in Early Years under the guidance of a qualified therapisto To independently deliver identified training to parents of children with communication needs under the guidance of a qualified therapist
o To independently deliver identified training to Early Years staff on strategies and interventions to support children with speech, language and communication needs
o To independently monitor the progress of identified children with speech, language and communication needs in Early Years under the guidance of a qualified therapist - including informal assessments, observations and discussions with early years staff and parents - and to feedback findings to the therapist
o Devise, design and produce low technology communication aids - and model using these.

Main duties of the job
o To independently model and deliver identified interventions including intensive interaction and support therapists to run groups for children with speech, language and communication needs in Early Years under the guidance of a qualified therapist
o To independently deliver identified training to parents of children with speech, language and communication needs under the guidance of a qualified therapist
o To independently deliver informal training to Early Years staff on strategies and interventions to support children with speech, language and communication needs
o To independently monitor the progress of identified children with speech, language and communication needs in Early Years under the guidance of a qualified therapist - including informal assessments, observations and discussions with early years staff and parents - and to feedback findings to the therapist
o Devise, design and produce low technology communication aids - and model using these
o To produce resources for intervention and maintain resources appropriate to the clinical environment and child's needs as requested by therapists
o To support with the running of any school holiday group sessions run by the team
o To prioritise the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Children at all times

AHP Support Workers are vital in CNWL's therapies teams and have varied roles across many clinical services, as Assistants and Associate Practitioners to Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dietitians and Podiatrists. Roles also include Activity Coordinators and Fitness Instructors.

1.6 To record information on the childs SystmOne record documenting input at the earliest opportunity, which would typically be by the end of the working day or the next working day at the latest

1.9 To provide written and verbal communication, at all levels and to be able to communicate effectively with clients carers/parents, and other professionals at all levels of Trust and outside agencies.
1.10 To keep up to date with new developments within the service, and to apply this to working practice.
