Database Design and Development:
Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
Create and optimize complex SQL queries to support application requirements.
Performance Tuning:
Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and resource management.
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues and bottlenecks.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with application developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Provide technical support for database-related issues and ensure high availability of database systems.
Documentation and Compliance:
Create and maintain technical documentation, including database schemas, data flow diagrams, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations, as well as internal policies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, development, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
Strong understanding of database indexing, partitioning, and performance optimization techniques.
Familiarity with database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
Knowledge of data modeling and normalization principles.
Experience with tools like SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and Azure Data Studio.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI for reporting and visualization.
Knowledge of ETL process / tools
Knowledge of any NoSQL Database
Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions, particularly Azure SQL Database.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Exposure to other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
