- Lead end-to-end short-term and long-term marketing processes for brand marketing including media planning and budgeting, as well as defining appropriate metrics to monitor performance against forecast and goals, ensuring alignment with corporate.
- Develop and maintain relationship with agency and internal partners, communicating business objectives, media strategies, and performance goals; while working with internal & external Analytics teams to make sound decisions that lead to positive performance impact.
- Assist in development of initiative analysis and business cases, partnering cross-functionally to capture sources of value as well as risks and pre-requisites for success.
- Display a strong, consistent, and vocal brand media point of view; maintain ability to influence partner thinking at all levels.
- Develop strategic approach across all partnerships, ensuring there’s a consistent theme tied to each partnership.
- Manage cross-team processes as it relates to internal/external communication, integrated planning, integrated deliverables & knowledge sharing.

- Develop and drive the strategic approach across all brand and sports partnerships / sponsorships, ensuring there’s a consistent theme tied to each partner and bringing new ideas for review.
- Launch partnership strategy with the goal of building national brand awareness and familiarity by aligning TIAA with areas of consumer interest to deliver relevance at the intersection of brand, our clients and what we stand for:
- Break-through competitive clutter through mix of traditional and non-traditional sponsorships that showcase our brand and values.
- Connect TIAA and Nuveen sales teams directly to our key clients by creating meaningfully engagements that lead to measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrate our commitment by taking a purposeful stand for our communities and fight for the people who need us.
- Lead end-to-end short- and long-term campaigns that support sponsorships, including planning, creative, budgeting and defining appropriate metrics to monitor performance against forecast and goals
- Display a strong, consistent, and vocal partnership point of view; maintain ability to influence partner thinking at all levels
- Manage cross-team processes as it relates to internal/external communication, integrated planning, integrated deliverables & knowledge sharing.
- Establish overall goals and metrics for measuring and benchmarking efforts
- 8 – 10 years marketing experience, with a focus in sports marketing or brand partnerships
- Strong knowledge and background in sports marketing, brand partnerships or sponsorships
- Ability to build relationships with clients and peers
- Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically around presentations
- Effective time management and project management skills
- Prior people-management experience
- Proficient in G Suite & Microsoft Office
Brand Media Strategic Partner
The Brand Media Strategic Partner role will manage the development and implementation of the Brand Media Strategy, as well the strategy and oversight of TIAA partnerships. The role will partner closely with the brand team within TIAA and the overall brand paid media strategy to drive overall awareness, consideration and familiarity. This includes the collection and analysis of insights, development of a strategic approach, creating overall communications plan, review and application of performance data and insights, collaboration with agency teams on tactical and creative development, ensuring alignment across brand partnerships, and reviewing all go-to-market buys. This includes researching and analyzing key business drivers, trends, and performance indicators for the future growth of the TIAA. With an emphasis on delivering disciplined growth, enhancing reporting, and driving business review processes, the role will be responsible for integrating strategic direction and ensuring alignment with all stakeholders, including internal and agency teams. The role requires an understanding of the digital omni-channel landscape, ability to build advanced paid media plans and the capacity to guide more complex and sophisticated integrated strategy to exceed goals.

The Head of Partnerships and Sports Sponsorships will lead and manage TIAA’s most critical and strategic brand and sports partners. This role is responsible for growing and strengthening the relationships of our existing and new partnerships and sports sponsorships. This role will partner closely across the brand team and sales teams within TIAA and Nuveen to execute the partnerships/sponsorships strategy to drive overall awareness/consideration, support sales teams with unique business development opportunities and demonstrate our commitment to our communities.
