What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the development and optimization of fraud detection strategies using advanced analytics
- Perform data mining and statistical analysis on large datasets to identify fraud patterns
- Design and optimize SQL queries for efficient fraud detection workflows
- Create and present actionable fraud-related dashboards and reports to leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fraud strategies across the organization
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, data analytics, computer science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in fraud risk management, fraud detection, or financial crime strategy
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data manipulation
- Strong programming skills in Python or R for data analysis and machine learning
- Knowledge of financial services industry regulations and best practices for fraud management
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CFE certification preferred
- Familiarity with fraud detection technologies, including machine learning and AI-driven solutions
- Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop or Spark
- Technical certifications (e.g., SQL, Certified Analytics Professional) are a plus
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior team members
