      We’re Hiring in Bolivia! | EHS Specialist
      La Paz, Bolivia
      Mining / Metallurgical Industry | Environmental, Health & Safety

      Kennametal Bolivia, part of Kennametal, is looking for a highly motivated EHS Specialist to support our local plant in La Paz. This role will be key in driving environmental, health, and safety excellence while ensuring compliance with local regulations and global standards.

      Position Overview

      The EHS Specialist will lead the development and execution of site EHS goals and support the implementation of the global EHS strategy at the local plant.

      This position reports to the Global EHS Team and works closely with the Plant Manager in La Paz.

      No travel required.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Lead and support implementation of corporate EHS systems and standards at the site
      • Ensure compliance with Bolivian environmental, health, and safety regulations
      • Manage environmental programs (air, water, waste, etc.), ensuring proper data collection, reporting, inspections, and sampling
      • Implement critical EHS programs (lockout/tagout, mobile equipment safety, electrical safety, fall prevention, etc.)
      • Develop and execute injury prevention and serious incident prevention plans
      • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
      • Deliver EHS training sessions and presentations to employees and leadership
      • Coach and mentor frontline supervisors on EHS responsibilities
      • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall EHS performance

      Qualifications & Requirements

      • Bachelor’s Degree in EHS or a closely related field
      • Advanced english
      • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety
      • Strong knowledge of Bolivian EHS regulations and mining industry standards
      • Experience in industrial or mining environments (preferred)
      • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills
      • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels
