      Overall Summary:

      The Staff Accountant assist s in monthly accounting and closing processes. They p erform daily accounting processes to assure the integrity of accounting data , as well as adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

      Primary Duties/ Responsibilities:

      • Prepare month-end general ledger journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP.

      • Prepare and analyze external audit materials and external financial reporting.

      • Recommend changes to accounting processes including documenting and maintaining accounting procedures to support continuous improvement efforts as well as performing required internal controls .

      • Investigate account discrepancies and variances, providing explanations and interpretations.

      • Execute the month - end close process and related reporting ; ensure accurate financial results, meaningful financial analysis and the completion of all requirements within corporate timelines .

      • Prepare various reporting packages as assigned.

      • Perform recurring daily/weekly accounting processes as defined by supervisor .

      • Perform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned.

      Required Skills /Abilities/Competencies :

      • Solid understanding of US GAAP.

      • Strong time - management, organization and problem -solving skills

      • Analytical and mathematical ability.

      • Microsoft Office proficiency , including Excel, Word and PowerPoint .

      • E xcellent communication , relationship- building and collaboration skills; excellent customer service skills.

      • Ability to work independently and provide input to management on key issues.

      • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all business and accounting related information.

      • E xceptional prioritization skills ; p roven ability to handle vario us coinciding responsibilities.

      • Commitment to quality results.

      Education and Experience :

      • 2+ years’ related accounting experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

      • Knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting requirements .

      • ERP expertise and financial reporting system knowledge is a plus.

      Physical Requirements:

      • Ability to work 8 hours consecutively .

      • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

      Salary:
      The starting salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000.

      At IWCO, base pay is determined by job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience, along with factors such as role scope and location.
