Job Description
- Req#: STAFF001590
- Reconcile various division accounts on a monthly basis and review activity for appropriate accounting and classification. These accounts include but are not limited to: AR, AP, Accrued AP, Prepaid Insurance, Other Prepaid, Intangibles and various Intercompany accounts.
- Prepare monthly journal entries including, but not limited to: Bank fees, prepaid amortization, comp allocation to upper entities, tech fees, AP accruals and various trucking/terminal expenses.
- Prepare weekly invoicing of trucking, ocean freight and terminal charges from freight forwarding specialist’s worksheets.
- Processing of divisional AP analysis and weekly check runs
- Prepares divisional daily cash reporting for Controller review.
- Daily review and cross check of various trucking cost sheets and freight forwarding global job cost tracking worksheets.
- Responsible for the preparation of all recurring journal entries across entities
- For all areas of responsibility, maintain documentation of processes to ensure enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare schedules for various accounts related to year-end audit.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to analyze accounts and variances.
- Knowledge of Excel and Word

Competencies Required
Education/Experience Required
B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance, or other acceptable related experience required.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a general accounting position with heavy emphasis on data entry.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred.
Work Schedule/Other
Anticipated hours are:
Monday – Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Occasional overtime during monthly closes
Salary: $62,000 - $72,000 DOE
Position Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
