- Req#: 5236508
- Maintains and updates files, records and reports for the Road & Bridge Division.
- Drafts, types & researches correspondence for reports, charts, etc.
- Maintains and updates records and files in custom computer program.
- Performs general administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, making appointments, taking messages, and filing.
- May perform some account keeping or technical level work for Road & Bridge & Fleet Management.
- Communicates and interacts with the public and professional staff.
- Accesses, inputs and retrieves information and data from a computer.
- Enters and updates Sunshine 811 locates.
- Generates and updates Road & Bridge project listing.
- Maintains and updates weekly meeting schedule for Road & Bridge.
- Generates IT help desk tickets for the Road & Bridge Department.
- May work part of the day at Fleet Management assisting with invoicing, etc.
- Receives, screens and routes phone calls, visitors and mail.

Performs a variety of secretarial, clerical and administrative functions, involving research and personnel activities. Works independently under the general direction of the immediate supervisor.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma / GED supplemented by technical training in office administration or related college courses, or an equivalent combination of education and related working experience in an office environment.
Licenses, Certifications or Registrations:
None.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Knowledge and practice of secretarial and routine administrative skills.
Knowledge and practice of organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of accounting, financial planning, and budgeting.
Ability to operate more complex office equipment.
Ability to maintain and update logs, files and records with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to analyze information and make judgment decisions.
Ability to understand and interpret complex oral and written instructions and documents, and programs.
Ability to interact effectively and tactfully with the public and staff and to establish working relationships with other employees and the public.
Ability to use a personal computer and various computer programs.
Ability to prepare correspondence and reports with speed and accuracy utilizing complex word-processing functions.
Ability to work with spreadsheet and database programs.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS :
Work is performed inside in an office environment.
