      UTSC Management is a world leader in providing undergraduate business education that is heavily influenced by experiential learning and internationalization. The goal of our management program is to create opportunities for our students to learn and experience leadership by applying the latest management theory to real-world problems both inside and outside the classroom.       Your opportunity:

      Reporting to the Assistant Director, Management Co-op, and with leadership guidance from the Assistant Director, External Relations, the Student – Employer Relations Coordinator will work with a team of career service professionals to ensure students are prepared to enter the job market with confidence and a solid understanding of how their strengths, values, and interests are coherent with their identity and program of study. They will be responsible for the development and stewardship of quality, high-level external partnerships within targeted industry sectors to provide students with the highest quality co-op and work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities.

      This role will focus on several key areas, including:
      Student preparation and support – interviews, applications, and independent job searches
      Building and maintaining employer relationships
      Co-op job recruitment cycle operations

      Your responsibilities will include:

      • Advising students through their own process of career development by providing options and consequences incorporating personal circumstances impacting academic success and an understanding of an individual's background
      • Implementing plans that support the development of WIL opportunities for students
      • Identifying, fostering and maintaining strategic industry relationships with prospective and existing employers in targeted industries
      • Promoting employer jobs and activations on campus to students to boost engagement activities on campus to students to boost engagement and increase recruitment outcomes
      • Advising and coaching students on work strategies and skills to secure placements
      • Developing and revising business methods that support employment services activities and objectives that promote student employment outcomes
      • Generating various documents and reports as required

      Essential Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
      • Minimum five (5) years of related experience in career services or campus recruitment with exposure working with both students and employers.
      • Experience in job development with a demonstrated track record of generating new partnerships for job placements.
      • Experience conducting comprehensive market research and analysis, with a strong understanding of career trends and opportunities.
      • Highly developed presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
      • Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as employers.
      • Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet development, desktop publishing, database management, and website management.
      • Must have excellent conflict-resolution skills.
      • Must be able to stay organized, multi-task and meet deadlines, and exercise accuracy and attention to detail.
      • Ability to work outside of normal office hours for event support.
