      As a summer student, you will have the opportunity to work in one of various departments across the Mine site. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

      • Must be 16years of age or older (surface roles), 18years of age for (underground or mill operations);

      • Students with a direct family relationship (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother) to an employee will be given priority for summer job placements;

      • Must provide satisfactory academic record(s) that meet AEM eligibility criteria;

      • Demonstrate the ability to perform tasks as assigned;

      • Must be available for a minimum of 12 weeks (6 weeks for Highschool students) during the summer;

      • Responsible for arranging your own transportation to and from assigned site.

      • Report card and or transcripts demonstrating successful completion of courses;

      • Proof of enrollment in Highschool, University, or a DEP Program;

      • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;

      • Valid driver’s license, if applicable.

      Your Work Schedule:

      • Schedule: Depending on department, students may work on a 4/3, or 7/7 schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.

      Agnico Eagle reserves the right to limit the number of student jobs available based on the number of applications received. Available positions will be allocated based on the highest level of education attained (university, college, vocational, or secondary), with priority given to students enrolled full-time in the semester preceding and/or following the summer job, upon presentation of supporting documentation. Agnico Eagle reserves the right to assign work locations to students. However, we ask that you notify us in advance of any valid constraints that may affect our job allocation.
