      OVERVIEW

      The Summer School Coordinator is responsible for administration of the summer school program, including planning and coordination and program implementation. The Summer School Coordinator will be responsible for the collection, input and disaggregation of summer school data.

      MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

      • On-site management of all summer school processes
      • Prepare summer school calendar and schedule
      • Works with administration to organize staff and students
      • Establish procedure for acquiring substitute teachers as needed
      • Responsible for inputting daily attendance and collecting final grades and assessments from teachers
      • Addresses questions and concerns from parents/students regarding summer school
      • Works with administration on discipline issues
      • Any and all other duties as assigned by administration


      STATUS OF POSITION: This is a seasonal position with Académie Lafayette .

      GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

      Education/Certification/Experience:

      • Experience in public school setting preferred
      • Demonstrated leadership abilities
      • Experienced leader organizing and scheduling summer programs preferred
      • Excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills
      • Communicate well with staff and administration

      Mental/Physical/Environmental Demands:

      • Needs to move about within the campus to monitor students as necessary
      • Occasional standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing
      • Occasionally requires lifting up to 25 pounds
      • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on short-term basis
