- Ensure TMIP AF end-users and members identified as “train the trainer” students obtain the skill sets necessary to utilize Air Force Specialty Code-specific TMIP AF applications with proficiency to deploy
- Provides hardware and applications front-line support for Air Force Operational Medicine Information Systems (AFOMIS) (TMIP AF EHRs) especially concentrated on systems support for AHLTA-T and TC2, support for deployed systems administrators, various network services, software systems engineering and/or applications to restore service and/or identify core problems for all AF Medical Service (AFMS) sites
- Responsible for maintaining acceptable levels of customer satisfaction for Major Command (MAJCOM) customers and deployed systems administrators; maintain the ability to understand and support engineering to resolve Tier 1, Tier 2 and at least a basic understanding of Tier 3 (e.g., Oracle database) support issues
- Participates in new application rollouts, testing and special AFOMIS projects as needed; may also support the training of active duty systems administrators and will be required to routinely provide 24/7/365 help desk support for deployed systems administrators
- Provides technical AFOMIS (TMIP AF EHRs) software support by performing installation, repair, and preventative maintenance, deployed sustainment of all deployed computer and related software/hardware; provide troubleshooting for software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when related to user desktop computers and system administrator servers in deployed locations
- Provide support to include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps; screens, refers, and diagnoses internal inquiries and issues as they relate to maintenance of end-user devices, software, hardware, and firmware utilizing experience and understanding of AFOMIS and MHS clinical systems, environments, storage and all EHR applications
- Assist all end-users with EHR training requirements, questions, problems and requests for supported software and hardware computing platforms in person, via phone, or email
- Perform “other duties as assigned” by the government deemed necessary for program success
- Must have at least 3-5 years of experience managing DoD and/or AFMS Healthcare Information Technology Programs, preferably TMIP AF applications (AHLTA-T, TC2, DCAM, TMDS and MSAT) and preferably while serving on active duty in the AF; experience and proficiency with all MS Office applications, simple project management software, and familiarity with War Reserve Materiel (WRM) and AF network operations preferred
- Proven experience at working independently, with combination of system administrator skills, certifications, and experience using TMIP AF products as a clinical end-user preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, however, demonstrated equivalent information technology experience may be substituted if member meets program management and technical requirements. COMPTIA Security Plus desired.
- Security clearance eligibility required: SECRET
- Some walking and standing required. Ability to lift and carry equipment (i.e. books, tools) weighing approximately 10-15 pounds
- Most of the work is performed in-doors
- Work in the occupation involves making repetitive motions more than 1/3 of the time
- Requires standing periodically
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend
- Travel is required
